Vahid and Homayoun in Iran

Thank you for your prayers for Iranian Christian Vahid Hakkani, who was released from Adel-Abad Prison in Shiraz last Monday. Vahid went on hunger strike at least twice last year, to protest against officials rejecting his appeal for conditional release (Prayer Alert, May 15). Meanwhile, another Christian from Shiraz, named as Homayoun, has had his bail conditions cancelled and been returned to custody. Homayoun and Vahid were among eight believers arrested in February 2012 (Prayer Alert, October 15, 2012); apart from Vahid, all had been released on bail by late-2014. Homayoun has now been returned to prison to complete his sentence of three years and eight months, with an additional suspended sentence of eight months. Thank God for the release of Vahid; pray that Homayoun will be released on bail again. (Source: MEC)
