Another Unreached People in India

This is typical of the sizeable groups ranging from 100,000 up to 50 million who have  very few believers or none in the subcontinent.

Kahar (Hindu traditions) in India

It seems likely that this caste is a remnant of one of the primitive races who occupied the valley of the Ganges before the coming of the Aryans. The Brahmin are their sacred priests. One of the main ceremonies associated with marriage is to circle the sacred fire seven times. In villages some are engaged in carrying water for high-ranking communities in the event of marriage, death and other occasions.

Ministry Obstacles
The worldview of the Kahar is very different than the Biblical worldview.

Outreach Ideas
Tools (Jesus film, recordings, videos, etc.) are available in most of the languages spoken by the Kahar community, but workers are needed to carry these tools to the people.

Pray for the followers of Christ
We trust the Lord will soon call out his followers from among the Kahar community. Pray they will be patient with each other, bearing with one another in love.

Pray for the entire people group
Pray the Kahar community will be able to raise their standard of living, and be well equipped for the challenges of the 21st century.

Scripture Focus
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
