|Out of the hundreds of patients who Sarah dealt with, only one official complaint and a few verbal complaints, which were noted down by nurses, were made.
Following a meeting with her boss in April, Sarah agreed that she would only discuss faith if a patient initiated the conversation.
She kept to her word.
But more complaints followed and Sarah was suspended, investigated and eventually sacked for gross misconduct. The Trust did not release to her copies of the complaints that were made before the investigation began and she was not allowed to call the patients to the hearing to investigate their claims.
The NHS Trust has also referred Sarah to the Nursing and Midwifery Council where she is facing disqualification proceedings.
