IRAN-Pastor’s wife gets five-year jail sentence

Please continue to pray for our Iranian sister, Shamiram Isavi Khabizeh, who was back in court last week for an appeal hearing. Shamiram is appealing against a five-year sentence, while her husband, Pastor Victor Bet Tamraz, is appealing against a ten-year sentence. A further hearing for Shamiram’s appeal is expected soon. (Source: Middle East Concern)

Sounds like this appeal was unsuccessful (April 27th 2018-Open Doors)The wife of an Iranian pastor sentenced to ten years in jail has been given a five-year prison term of her own. Shamiram Isavi Khabizeh, the wife of Victor Bet-Tamraz, was convicted of ‘acting against national security and against the regime by organising small groups, attending a seminary abroad and training church leaders and pastors to act as spies’, according to our partner, Middle East Concern.
